The time of year...

It's the time of year when we start our quarantine.  This is when we 'lock down the hatches and button down the flaps' and prepare for winter.  Or more importantly, flu and cold season.

The girls were 8 weeks early.  Preemies.  Because of the girls' under developed lungs, any illness could be catastrophic to them... so we play it safe {grin}

We roll out the extra hand sanitizes, and throw in references to wash your hands.  The girls love visitors, however... if you feel sick, think you might be getting sick or are around someone who is sick, they would rather you wait and be here 100%.

I'm even cracking down on John.  He drinks his Emergen-C every day, carries hand sanitizer and keeps Lysol wipes at his desk.  I tried to make him wear a surgical mask to work... but he said no {grin}

Doing our daily inspection of our clothes.  My clothing selection usually doesn't pass their approval.

Last winter went extremely well and we can only hope for the same this year.

We did some rearranging in the girls' room, the diaper pad now sits on the floor.  They love to play on it!

What do you do to keep your kids from getting sick?

Oh and yes, the girls got new boots! Check'em out!

They're pretty hot stuff, and the only shoes Evie wants to wear anymore.

  1. I love the boots on the girls! :) We do the same things that you do to avoid getting sick. I also think we are going to stop going to places where a lot of kids could be because I am just too nervous for them to get sick. I get nervous about RSV because it can live on your clothes for hours and then brought into the home.
