Food Revolt

The girls started a little bit of a food revolt.  They still love their food.  But they just decided one day that they weren't going to eat anymore pureed baby food.  We had been slowly introducing the girls into solid foods when we gave them pureed food.  Then just one day, boom, no more baby food!
Now, we just eat finger food!
It's mostly the same food, just not pureed.

Rice puffs are one of their new favorites.
We scoured the cereal aisle to find a cereal we were comfortable giving them.  Then we found these, the ingredient list: Puffed Rice.
Simple!

Beets - still messy!

The girls like bananas now too!

It's pretty exciting to see them feed themselves.  However their meal times have now gone from 10-15 minutes to about 30-45 minutes.  I feel like all we do now is eat!

  2. Hi there.
I'm a college student in Kentucky and I was hoping I could use the close-up of one of the girl's hands picking up the beets for a psychology assignment of mine?? I've been following your blog for a couple months now and when I got the assignment this picture immediately came to mind. The only people who will see the picture is my professor and myself and the assignment isn't about the girls at all, its about motor development although you will be cited as the picture source.
    Please?
