Chalk

I remember playing with chalk when I was little.  We didn't have a lot of cement at my house, but what we did, always seemed to be covered with the chalky colors.  Hop-scotch and tick-tack-toe were always better in chalk.

When my girls are older, I want them to look back and have those happy, gitty moments with the twinkle in their big blue eyes.

As a parent, there are certain things I remember as a little kid that I want to pass on to my girls.

Chalk is DEFINITELY one of them...

Non-Toxic sidewalk chalk is AMAZING!

The girls LOVED it.  Well, I think they loved playing with the chalk.  It was that or the fact that they just love being outside.

The girls were trying to draw with the chalk, but had some problems.  I suppose we can't expect them to be Picasso yet, we should first expect things like walking and talking...

Getting the hang of it.

Good thing the chalk was non-toxic!

Evie was showing us where she wanted to draw.

The results of our fun...
Dirty bums!  We had to change clothes as soon as we got in. It was almost to the point of an early bath!

I love introducing our girls to new things like this and they enjoy it.  Especially when it's something that I enjoyed when I was a child.  I know that there will be lots more adventures that we'll share.
Oh yeah, and it's a good thing we have a lot of sidewalk all around our house!
