Can you believe it's December?
Neither can we!
Now that Thanksgiving is well past and December is on it's way, it's time for a little bit of
CHRISTMAS CHEER!
Here's our little recipe for Christmas Cheer
Step 1: Add Snow!
We live in the midwest, of course snow has to be a part of Christmas cheer. When it was snowing, the girls would just look out the window and point. When the neighbor kids are outside they really like to stand by the window and see what's going on!
Step 2: Christmas Cookies!
The girls don't get to eat them yet, but we had a cookie day at our house. We were a bit overly optimistic with how many types I thought we'd get done, but we can finish them some other time.
Little hands that like to help {grin}
How about an Ada snack? Ada likes to sit in bowls and containers apparently. The tub she's sitting in was actually used for bathing the girls when they were first in the NICU!

Step 3: Christmas Lights
Lots and lots of Christmas lights!
We don't have any outdoor outlets at our house, so unfortunately we don't have lights outside. We make up for it by having some extras in the house.
Step 4: Decorate!
We have out our Christmas decorations. We may not have a lot, but the ones we have are pretty important to us.
Our gold sleigh bells that John and I started collecting for each year since we've been married
Our stockings that hang in front of the fire place
The nativity scene that was a wedding gift
The Christmas cross that was a gift for our first Christmas away.
These are all things that get put out every year and mean a lot to us. I'm sure one day they'll be important to the girls too.
Step 5: Christmas Music!
I love Christmas music! I'm not sure if John does, but he does a good job tolerating it. It's hard to not be in a cheerful mood while rocking out to some Christmas music. The girls LOVE to dance to it too.
Those are our five simple steps to start spreading some Christmas Cheer.

Love the pictures of the girls in the Christmas lights. . . I've seen this and wanted to do it, but I think our kids are just too big to make it sweet! Thanks for sharing!
