Christmas Part 1

Now that we're a full family, Christmas isn't just Christmas anymore.  It usually comes in threes...
Christmas with the Kunkels
Christmas with the Roberts
and Christmas with just us.

Christmas Part 1 is done and celebrated!
It had what Christmas was supposed to have.
Family
Food
Fun
and some presents

Evie's skeptical look.
The really funny part is that her shirt says "Best Gift Ever" and she insists on keeping the bow on her head for about 20 min.

Ada had a bow too, but was less excited about it.

Ada was getting a good laugh while Evie was texting her peeps...
The chair that Evie is sitting in used to be my chair!  We had 2 of them, one for me and one for Aunt Lisa.  We used to sit in them all the time.  It's great that the girls like to sit in them now too.

Remember I mentioned presents.
Oh we had presents!
Yeah, Aunt Lisa usually gets the biggest stack of presents!

more presents

then when we thought the presents were done...

Evie was opening presents with Mama

Aunt Lisa gave the girls baby dolls!
It was very cute to see the girls play with them.

Apparently we set a good parenting precedent.  We told Ada to love her baby doll.  Instead she carried it around in her mouth by it's foot.  She must have gotten this from Daddy.  The girls kept trying to put the hats from the dolls on their own heads, it was so cute!

Yes, that's what you call a farmer girl hat {grin}

Kisses from Aunt Lisa!

Uncle Brian got a remote controlled helicopter for Christmas.  John thought it would be a perfect gift so he can chase Aunt Lisa's cat around the house.  After a few "incidents" of trying to learn to to fly indoors the boys took the helicopter outside.  The girls then sat in the window to watch.  It was pretty exciting even though I'm not convinced they know how to fly the helicopter.

We had a great Christmas with the Kunkels and hope that everyone else had a good time too!
