Happy about Shoes

This weekend the girls received their first pair of shoes, thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Roberts.  And as you would expect, from almost every other women, my little ladies, love shoes too!  {grin}  This Mama couldn't be more proud.

The girls even decided on their own who was going to get which pair.

The girls loved everything about them, the colors, the packaging... but best of all... when we put them on their little feet.  Which we found out they the have small feet for their age.

It's also been a weekend of silliness.  Ada loves to give anyone who is willing to look in her direction, some of these silly faces.

Evie is trying to match the look too!

All those teeth are silly enough!

My little girls love to stand.  Stand next to the couch.  Stand holding your hand.  Stand leaning against the wall.  Most recently, standing on top of the alligator xylophone.

But how can you not smile, silly baby Ada {grin}

We have since moved the xylophone.

When Grandma and Grandpa Roberts came down they also brought something a little special.  It is Uncle Paul's old rocking chair.  Paul is John's older brother.  The rocking chair was a Christmas gift for his first Christmas.  John had told me he remembers sitting in the chair when he was younger and how his giant stuff panda used to sit in it all the time.  (The same one he took pictures of for his "time capsule" but that's a whole different story for another time...)

Grandma Roberts heard that Ada has been sitting on all kinds of things for fun.  The picnic basket, the case of Red Bull (a necessity for John working overnights), John's head, etc.  She thought a chair was appropriate!

Well so did Ada and Evie.  Ada sat in the chair for about 20 minutes without getting down.  For a 1 year old, this is an ETERNITY! You can't see it in her face here, but she loved it.  Evie got her turn too and was pretty excited, but it was short lived.

We're pretty excited about our new rocking chair!
If you look close on the front corner it has teeth marks in it.  Grandma Roberts said that it was probably from John.  Gee, I wonder where the girls get it from!

  1. Love the shoes and I am sure they are pretty light and make it easier to walk. I love all of their huge smiles with teeth! What great girls you have! :)
