The Zoo

The girls got their first trip to the Zoo!

This past weekend was a big one for the girls! 

John's family all came down on Friday night and we took the girls to go out to eat with them.  As Uncle Chris said, they were very lady like and well behaved.  This outing of course resulted in a late bedtime.  Our girls don't like change in their schedule.  It didn't go over great...

The next morning we got the girls up early, again out of their schedule, and headed out to the zoo!

I guess you could say that they were...

Ambivalent. 

They pointed at the animals but didn't get excited.

They would look around but were just tired.  

We started with the monkeys.

We were pretty serious all day!

It looks like Marin was enjoying the bears, but she was much more concerned with the popcorn!

One of the most exciting parts were the roaming peacocks.  They knew what a box of popcorn looked like and would follow anyone with the box.  Did you notice the box that Marin was holding up above? The peacocks did.

Evie was pretty interested in the peacocks.  They were so pretty.  We kept waiting for them to open their feathers but never did.

This was the end of our adventure.  Can you tell who was sleepy?  Yep Daddy and Mama!

Overall it was a good first trip to the Zoo.  The girls weren't excited but at the same time they were really well behaved.  I suppose at this age that's doing great!
