How far did you make it?

I get this question A LOT.

It's like some contest to see who makes it the farthest.  Did I make it 38 weeks?  And when I answer with 32 weeks, I'm usually given some sympathetic look.

I'm usually left wondering if I passed their test and judgement.  But why does it matter?  I carried my girls 32 weeks.  We had a slow start but my girls are healthy and happy.  Isn't that what matters?  So what if they are small and dainty?

I really do feel very fortunate that I was able to carry the girls for as long as I did.  For those who have carried their children longer, congratulations.  What an amazing feat.  For those who didn't make it that far, my heart goes out to you and your little ones.

What matters to me... are they happy?  Healthy?

Mine are!

The girls got a new toy from Grandma and Grandpa Roberts for Halloween.  John is not thrilled about it.

The girls love it however!
