We were finally able to bring our girls home. I remember thinking that it didn't seem real. We had spent what seemed like so much time in the NICU.
Ada getting her clothes on to go home,
for the past 37 days, I always went to go to the hospital to see my girls. Even thinking about it, I tear up. I know, I know, in the big scheme of life, it's not that long, and it really isn't. But at that time, those 35 days... they were years.
It's kind of funny now, thinking back. On the car ride home, John and I joked that they finally let us take them. That we finally passed that 'Parenting' class... {grin}

I don't think it hit us until we brought the girls inside the house. Seeing them in their HUGE car seats. They were finally here. They were ours. They were finally here to stay!

I don't remember too much from that day, except that it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders.
Home at last
We love you our little angels...
