New Slippers

I went shopping yesterday to Target.
All by myself!
This is not a luxury I usually get to enjoy.
I mean Target is a pretty fancy place.
John did tell me that I can only go to the Target that's close to us, not the nice big one across town...
I had a list of things to get.
But I splurged a little...
It's ok though, they were on the clearance rack.
And the girls love them...

Wow, if those aren't John's eyebrows I don't know where they came from!

The girls have been a bit goofy and off the last couple days.
I blame it on new teeth and crazy weather patterns.
Seriously, the weather this summer has been crazy.  One day it's 101 and sunny.  The next day it's rainy and miserable.  It's messing me up so I can only imagine how it's messing up their little bodies.  Plus I'm pretty sure it was a full moon the other night.  Wow, a bit of a trifecta!  Either way they've been into all kinds of things as usual.

Looking for trouble!

Found some trouble in the kitchen...

Pretty sure Evie is handing Ada something that she swiped off the couch.  They're tag teaming up on me here...

This is just asking for trouble.  The girls now love to play on the step stool that came with their baby tub (which they no longer use).  It's not a permanent fixture in our living room.  I'm sure you've seen it in plenty of pictures.  The usually stand up around it and bang on it.  But this was new.  Ada was just laying on it having a grand ole' time.

Helping out with some packing.  Oh the girls are so helpful around the house!

I left John with the girls to go take a shower.  I came back to this.  Yes, that's the gum from my purse.  I've been in the process of switching purses this morning and had most of my stuff tucked back on the couch.  The story I got went like this from John...
"Evie was trying to play with your purse, then she climbed up my leg and got completely on the couch and made a mad dash for your mug of water (side note - I still use my big mugs I got from the hospital when I was pregnant that I LOVE.  Well if Mama loves it, the girls love it.) and tried to drink out of the straw, but it was empty.  I tried to take it away from her but she had a death grip on it.  Finally I wrestled it away from her and there were lots of tears.  Evie then made a scramble to get whatever she could from the pile of stuff that's from your purse.  This is what she ended up with.  If figured it was acceptable so we came to a compromise..."
Apparently I need to take faster showers...
