The girls' hearing is definitely improving (not that it was bad before). How can I tell? Our street is under construction. They've torn it to shreds and are pouring new concrete. You can't see the work from our house, but you can definitely hear it. Every time it gets a bit loud Ada and Evie start looking around for where the noise was coming from. I suppose now we have to be careful what we say even when they're not in the room! This construction has thrown some wrenches in our normal walking routes but I suppose we'll survive. Maybe it's for the better actually, now we have to take the back paths which runs between peoples backyards pretty much. That means we see less people, which means less people see John's silly shoes... Just kidding I'm getting used to them, maybe I'll get some {grin}.
Ada recently learned a new trick from her sister...
Yep, standing up in bed.
Now the girls like to stand up in bed and talk to each other.
We found this out the other day when we could hear them talking for an extended amount of time in bed after they woke up from their nap. We didn't think much of it at first, but after the 30 minute mark we got curious and peaked in. Yep, both standing and talking. We gave them a little bit more time to see what they'd do. Well after 45 minutes we decided we needed to get them up...
It's so fun listening to them chitter chatter back and forth. I think it really shows that twins do have their own little language. I already feel left out! I can only imagine how it will get worse when they're older.
The girls like to play in their laundry basket now. I gave them one laundry basket ride around the room and they can't get enough. I suppose this is going to turn into the same thing as my water mugs and the straw... Once they see it they get upset until they get it!
Holding on tight...
I suppose there are worse things that they could whine for, like chewing on the diaper box - oh wait they do that too...
