This weekend we made it all the way to Dubuque, Iowa for a family wedding. John's cousin Brett got married to Katie. It was a great wedding. It was really nice to see all kinds of family, including MANY that have never seen the girls, or haven't seen them for a long time.
Katie was beautiful of course, and Brett looked dashing.
The first kiss.
Now I of course could sit here and tell you all about the wedding and how we had a great time. But let's be honest, this blog is all about me and the girls... {grin}
I posted a short video back in May that was hilarious because it's true. You may not remember it so I'll take a moment for you to click HERE to go back and watch it.
Remember it now? Yes it was hilarious. Well the reason it's so funny is because it's so true.
I feel like I relived 90% of that this weekend.
If I got 25 cents every time someone asked me if we had twins we would have gotten enough money to pay for our gas... round trip.
If we got a dollar every time we could have paid for the gas and our crappy hotel!
Our attempt at a family picture.
Look how beautiful we were!
John got to the point that he would tell people
1. No, we don't have twins, we rent a second baby and dress them the same for the attention
2. No, we don't have twins, we actually have quads but we couldn't fit all four in the trunk (this received a blank stare)
3. Are they identical? Are you freakin' kidding me???
4. We can't really tell them appart, we figure it will just work itself out...
We tried to take a picture of the girls in their dresses all ready for the wedding...
Success?
For the wedding we decided to sit way in the back for an easy out if necessary (it wasn't).
As our family came in slowly everyone of course had to stop, so sorry if we caused a traffic jam. John's sister's family sat by us as well for the same reason.
Evan thought that this was party time!
Evan's checking out the program to make sure we're on schedule.
Ada checking out everyone around.
So we had a great time seeing everyone and just being there for the wedding.

My sister got married in Dubuque this weekend, too. I thought I saw John's sister and family at Grand Harbor hotel on Saturday morning. This blog post confirms! (The only way I recognized them was this blog. :)
