1 year ago today was the first time we were able to hold our girls. Don't ask me why, but that was the one thing I didn't expect... not being able to hold my girls right away.

We were very fortunate to know that we were going to be dealing with premie babies. I read as much as I could about the issues and concerns we would be dealing with the girls. There were websites as resources and books all over our house!
But - honestly, not being able to hold my girls... for 4 days was excruciating!
When we were finally able to hold the girls... I held Ada and John held Evie.
Looking back at these pictures, it's hard to even remember that they were this small. At this point the girls were barely pushing their birth weight - Ada at 4 lbs 2 oz and Evie at 3 lbs 14 oz.
